If you have tried visiting gregoryhickman.com in the last few weeks you would have noticed that I was testing out the Joomla platform which was great   but Wordpress is way more effective and flexible for my needs. So…here it is. Bear with me as I tweak this template which is FlashNews by Woo Themes if you’re curious. I’m totally stoked about this theme as I think it is extremely clean and allows for me to implement all the pieces that are of interest to me and I’ll be discussing these in further detail as more features and pieces to this site are rolled out.

So why did I go back to wordpress?

Well, for starters , it’s miles ahead of Joomla regarding widgets and third party “apps” that you can integrate into your site and with much ease. If you’re not familiar with building wordpress themes yourself, the themes available for free download or purchase are extremely easy to apply compared to Joomla. I tried a few different themes with Joomla and once it’s loaded there remains to be a ton of updating and tinkering. Wordpress has been much more “plug and play” thus far.

Well, I’m stating it now. This is my OFFICIAL launch of gregoryhickman.com. My personal blog where I plan on sharing whatever it is that’s on my mind. I hope you join, join the conversation and of course let me know if there is anything you’d like me to chat about, address and while I’m at it…If you have a good idea that you’d like to share with my readers…Write it and I’ll post it on your behalf.
